Q. Why did you select this topic for your session at Voxxed Days Bucharest 2019?
Websites keep getting heavier and heavier. Images are often responsible for 50% or more of a websites weight. Sites with video are an order of magnitude larger. Optimizing images and video can really speed up your website, and it is really easy to do – once you know the steps.
Q. Who should attend your session?
Anyone who builds on the web. Optimization techniques keep changing and improving, and I’ll be focusing on the latest research!
Q. What are the key things attendees will take away from your session?
Faster websites mean happier customers – more return visitors, more revenue. So by improving your images and videos – you are improving the bottom line.
Q. Aside from speaking at Voxxed Days Bucharest, what are your other plans for this year?
My family and I are digital nomads, so we’ll be all across northern Europe, Ireland and the UK this year.
