Ana-Maria Mihălceanu is a custom application development enthusiast, Trailhead Ranger and a constant adopter of challenging technical scenarios. Some of her older experiments are available on Dzone. In 2016, as tech passionate for cloud application development she achieved IBM Certified Application Developer – Cloud Platform v1. Since then, she has enriched her cloud expertise by learning and certifying as a Salesforce Developer and attained a better understanding on how to integrate different types of cloud offerings. As a result, she would like to share with the audience one of her recent experiments. Other passions? The knowledge hunt through reading and growing fashion skills through shopping.

Talk: Kubernetes and the 12 factors cloud applications

Q. Tell us a bit about yourself. What are your hobbies and interests?

I am a custom application development enthusiast and an adopter of challenging development scenarios. I enjoy technical puzzles (application development and integration) that make use of Java, NodeJs, or even Salesforce Apex and I am genuinely curious on what, when and how technologies can be glued together. Apart from the professional aspects, I take a special interest into spending time with the dear ones, practicing yoga and travelling.

Q. Why did you select this topic for your session at Voxxed Days Bucharest 2019?

I want to share a different point of view for the twelve-factor methodology because nowadays Kubernetes conducts the container orchestra of applications that are purpose-built for the cloud and consist of loosely coupled services.

Q. Who should attend your session?

The session is for all attendees that are curious on how Kubernetes complements application development following 12 factors methodology.

Q. What are the key things attendees will take away from your session?

The various ways of decoupling infrastructure complexity from application code while following 12 factors, using Kubernetes and regardless of technology chosen for application development.

Q. Aside from speaking at Voxxed Days Bucharest, what are your other plans for this year?

I am excited to share that 2019 will be my second year at DevoxxUK in London and first time in Barcelona, at JBCNConf. For the end of the year, I plan to attend Devoxx Belgium and Voxxed Days Cluj Napoca to refresh my knowledge, get new ideas for daily challenges and be inspired on future solutions.
