UPDATE 9 MARCH 2020 – 12.00

The risk assessment process for Voxxed Days Bucharest Conference is ongoing at the Bucharest Public Health Department.

We have been there and the only answer for the moment is to wait for their email with either the approval or denial to organise the event.

We have sent them today another email to ask them to speed up the procedure.

The moment we will have an answer, we will update you.

To all our supporters and friends, if you have any idea that could help us manage this emergency situation, please let us know here: [email protected]

UPDATE 8 MARCH 2020 – 16.45

On the March 8th 2020, 3 days before the first day of Voxxed Days Bucharest, the Romanian authorities have decided to forbid all the events with more than 1.000 attendees and to restrict the events below 1.000 attendees to be organised only with the prior approval from the local Public Health Department. (source).

Voxxed Days Bucharest will have between 300 and 350 attendees, so we have sent a letter to the Bucharest Public Health Department, as the start of the risk assessment process.

Our aim is that together with Bucharest Public Health Department, we will define this event as a safe one and manage to keep the conference open safely.

8 MARCH – 11.00

As of writing there are a total of 13 confirmed cases in Romania, and our team is constantly monitoring developments and taking on board all advice from the relevant authorities. The health and safety of our participants is our primary concern. There is nothing in current advice to suggest that we will have to cancel Voxxed Days Bucharest.

It is our hope that despite the current situation, we will be able to continue with the conference as planned whilst putting into place added measures to have the safest possible event for all involved. Should we be forced to alter our plans (by the Romanian authorities, if they will release an emergency act to ban this kind of public events), we will provide an update right away.

Please keep in mind that the venue of the event is a 5* hotel, with strict sanitary regulations. The conference venue will have plenty of hand sanitizers. Every attendee will receive sanitary napkins and will be encouraged to wash hands and not shake hands.

We kindly ask all our attendees not to come to the event if they have developed flu, cold-like symptoms, or a cough before the event. We further request that anyone who has travelled from, or been in close contact with someone who has travelled from any of the following areas in the previous 14 days, to not attend:

  • China
  • Hong Kong
  • Macao
  • Cambodia
  • Iran
  • Northern Italy
  • Laos
  • Malaysia
  • Myanmar
  • Singapore
  • Republic of Korea
  • Taiwan
  • Thailand
  • Vietnam

Thank you for your support and let’s keep good faith that we will have a great learning experience at the conference!

We appreciate your support whilst we continue our efforts to ensure a safe event for all.
