Dr. Venkat Subramaniam is an award-winning author, founder of Agile Developer, Inc., creator of agilelearner.com, and an instructional professor at the University of Houston.

He has trained and mentored thousands of software developers in the US, Canada, Europe, and Asia, and is a regularly-invited speaker at several international conferences. Venkat helps his clients effectively apply and succeed with sustainable agile practices on their software projects.

Q. Tell us a bit about yourself. What are your hobbies and interests?

I love programming and enjoy talking about it. I enjoy hiking the mountains.

Q. Why did you select this topic for your session at Voxxed Days Cluj-Napoca 2018?

The programming world is very different today compared to only a few years ago and the demands on our skills are very steep. By learning different paradigms both programmers and the organizations/businesses they work in can benefit a great deal. The talk is to provide reasons to be polygot and how to achieve that.

Programmers, architects, lead developers, technical manager, anyone who cares about software development.

Q. What are the key things attendees will take away from your session? 

The power of being polyglot and how it makes us to be better software developers. The benefits to our business.

Q. Aside from speaking at Voxxed Days Cluj-Napoca 2018, what is the year review look like for you?

It has been a crazy year, working with clients on software projects, training developers around the world, speaking in a number of conferences, speaking at many user groups, teaching courses at the University, publishing two books,…

Q. What are your plans for the next year?

The year is not over yet, next year is so far away! 🙂  I am looking forward to speaking at VoxxedDays Cluj, interacting with the developers there. Thank you for having me at the event.
